Due to the Company’s involvement in a number of new projects and studies, Lycopodium is currently recruiting for an Estimator to join our Perth based team.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, and working closely with the wider Estimating team, this position will contribute to the successful delivery of capital cost estimates in alignment with the Company's, Client’s and project requirements in terms of accuracy, quality, and schedule.
The tasks you'll perform
- Provide support and/or manage estimating components of studies
- Support Lead and Senior Estimators to achieve high quality and accurate estimates
- Support the development of detailed capital cost estimates
- Develop and regularly maintain the project scope to facilitate scope change and reporting.
- Contribute to estimate presentations and peer / Client reviews of the estimate
- Contribute to estimate basis documents
- Ensure traceability of estimating inputs and costs are maintained for all estimates.
- Ensure a high level of communication is attained with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attend and participate in applicable project meetings.
The expertise you'll bring
- University degree in relevant field / feeds into Estimating or Equivalent industry experience or trade background may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Previous construction site experience on mining, mineral processing, or other industrial projects will be highly regarded.
- Experience in various aspects of Estimating in the mineral processing, or other industrial projects or related industries.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment.
- High attention to detail and comprehension of technical and engineering drawings.
