Lycopodium Africa is offering a 12-month internship programme aimed at developing talented Quantity Surveying graduates; by providing practical, hands-on experience within a professional EPCM environment. The programme is designed to build technical skills, workplace readiness, and exposure to real engineering projects in the minerals processing environment.

Reporting to the Manager: Project Controls, the successful candidates will receive:

• Exposure to EPCM project delivery in the mining industry
• Mentorship from experienced engineers and professionals
• Development of technical, analytical, and professional skills
• Practical workplace experience aligned with academic qualifications

The tasks you'll perform

Work under the supervision of experienced professionals and be involved in (not exclusively):

• Assisting with engineering, project, or technical support activities related to mining and mineral processing projects
• Supporting project documentation, reports, drawings, and data analysis
• Participating in project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
• Assisting with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance tasks
• Attending project meetings, site visits, and technical reviews (where applicable)
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls
• Performing administrative and operational support duties as required

Minimum requirements

• Recently completed Recognised Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying
• South African citizen
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment
• Computer literacy (MS Office; industry software is an advantage)
