Reporting to the Group HSE Manager, HSE Advisors are responsible to provide specialist advice and support to ensure projects are delivered safely and professionally in accordance with statutory, company, client and industry requirements.

The tasks you’ll perform:

  • Establish and maintain, with the management team, a effective HSE culture across the organisation and its Projects.
  • Develop, Implement, Maintain and Report on HSE policies and procedures for and within the organisation
  • Ensure all site activities are conducted in a manner that prioritises health, safety, the environment and community and industrial relations
  • Lead, Manager and Support teams to ensure optimal performance to the highest safety standards
  • Foster and Maintain strong working relationships with Clients, Colleagues and Contractors

The expertise you’ll bring:

  • Recognised Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years’ experience in all aspects of HSE Management in mineral processing and related industries
  • Namibian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
