Due to the Company’s involvement in a number of new projects and studies, Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Junior Estimator to join our Perth based team.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, and working closely with the wider Estimating team, this position will contribute to the successful delivery of capital cost estimates in alignment with the Company's, Client’s and project requirements in terms of accuracy, quality, and schedule.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Assist in the delivery of both EPCM and EPC estimates in alignment with the Company's, Client’s and project requirements.
  • Support the Estimating Manager, Lead & Senior Estimators to consistently achieve high quality and accurate estimates, which are delivered on time and in accordance with project and/or study requirements.
  • Provide support for estimating components of studies (concept, scoping, feasibility and detailed).
  • Under supervision from the Estimating Manager or Lead/Senior Estimator, develop and regularly maintain an estimating database to a consistently high standard.
  • Manage estimating administration activities.
  • Effectively interact with the Client on a project level.
  • Attend and participate in applicable study and project meetings.
  • Ensure a high level of communication is attained with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units.

The expertise you'll bring

  • University degree in related disciplines or the equivalent industry training.
  • Experience in Project Administration or Construction activities with relevant industry experience is advantageous. A trade / site construction background will be highly regarded.
  • An ability to interpret study level drawings, equipment lists and other data in order to prepare cost estimates.
  • Capability to establish capital cost estimates from first principles based upon previous experience and personal knowledge in the mineral processing industry with minimal assistance from other senior staff.
  • Proactively seek and accept guidance and feedback provided by subject matter experts.
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
