Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a People and Culture Advisor to join our People & Culture team in Perth.

Reporting to the Senior Advisor, People & Culture, you will be advising on all people related matters with a specific focus on our Minerals and Projects groups, and working closely with our Africa and SE Asia based projects and HR teams.

This is a role that contains a scope of HR work within a global business that is currently undergoing a significant people improvement agenda. It's an opportunity to develop your career as we implement a number of exciting new people initiatives.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Building effective relationships with numerous stakeholders, and working across the broad People spectrum of governance and services.
  • All matters of generalist HR advice with a focus on our local and international projects in Australia, Africa and Asia, working closely with our in-country HR teams.
  • All aspects of employment contracts, compliance, internal changes, terminations and scenarios involving People moves across local and global projects
  • Working with our finance function on international assignments, calculating site conditions and developing assignment policies in line with the in-country statutory requirements.
  • Overseeing project resources including the appointment of in-country personnel to global projects.
  • Other related duties regarding the onboarding, movement, performance & engagement of People within the business.

The expertise you'll bring

  • This role could suit an experienced HR Officer ready for the next step in their career, or someone recently operating at an Advisor level and wanting further growth and development.
  • A degree qualification in HR is desired.
  • A willingness to go above and beyond, and a passion for providing high levels of service to facilitate exceptional employee experiences.
  • An interest in both local and international people practices and labour laws, including employment principles, contract formation, site conditions and permit applications.
  • A proactive problem solver who can think laterally and find the answers if they're not already known.
  • A high level of attention to detail and ability to multitask.
