Lycopodium is currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Administrator to join our Perth based CAD support team.

The tasks you'll perform:

The successful candidate will be required to provide assistance to the design group, and duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Providing CAD support (predominately for Bentley products) in multi-discipline engineering and drafting fields, for the Company’s Perth, international and site offices
  • Attending to CAD support requests logged into a helpdesk system, including:
  • General CAD administration (Initial contact)
  • In-depth technical support (Trouble shooting)
  • Expert Support (Software development)
  • Outside support (dealing with software vendors)
  • Build and deploy CAD machines.

The expertise you'll bring:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable role and will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Solid Knowledge of drafting principles in 2D and 3D CAD systems
  • Previous experience in a CAD support role
  • Experience with the administration of the Bentley suite of products among others, OpenBuildings designer CE, ProjectWise, Openplant Modeler CE, Openplant Isometrics Manager CE, OpenPlant P&ID CE, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Bentley product workspaces, ProjectWise integration and managed workspaces
  • MicroStation VBA
  • Sound knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ProjectWise integration into MS products
  • Good time management skills and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to prioritise tasks to minimize project team downtime
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with the Autodesk suite of products (desirable).
