Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting for a Senior Procurement Officer to join our growing Project Services team in Manila. 

The tasks you'll perform

  • Responsible for encouraging continuous improvement through productivity monitoring, enabling identification of processes and procedures that can be modified to increase speed and efficiency within the purchasing and expediting functions, resulting in greater customer service levels.
  • Plan, coordinate, monitor and report progress of all activities required for timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation and award of purchase orders. (Interfaces with Projects for schedule requirements and budget considerations, Engineering / Process Technology for technical requirements.)
  • Commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to enable the correct supplier choice is executed.
  • Supervise Purchasing staff to ensure correct, thorough and timely processing of all Purchase Orders to ensure quantities, specifications and delivery times are met. 
  • Facilitate award and execution of PO Contracts or Variations in accordance with procedures and authorities and correct management and storage of the executed POs.
  • Tender tracking and PO expediting reports to be constantly and correctly updated and made available to all customer departments.

The expertise you'll bring

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role with relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with computerised purchasing and logistics systems, and their operation and applications.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers. 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise to a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
