About The Role
Due to the Company’s involvement in a number of new projects and studies, we are currently recruiting for a Document Controller to join our Perth based team.
The Document Controller is responsible for the updating of the Document Management System in accordance with project execution plans and contracting strategies. This role is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of data, undertaking processing tasks and reporting performance of the Document Control functions on major projects.
You will be mentored by a team of Senior Document Controllers, along with maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders (projects team, commercial team, finance team and legal team) and external stakeholders (various vendors and contractors).
The tasks you’ll perform:
- Assist in the coordination and management of the project’s document management system.
- Ensure the accurate uploading, logging, filing & distribution of project related documentation.
- Receive, record and issue, controlled project documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure controlled documents comply with Company, Client and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverable are met to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Manage and expedite supplier deliverables and documentation ensuring contractual requirements are adhered to.
- Work collaboratively within the project and document control team.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Document Control role.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Aconex Data Management System or equivalent.
- Prior experience in Document Control management of contractors, vendor and Client Liaison
- Experience on major mining projects.
- Experience in mining contract strategy interface.
The expertise you'll bring
- Experience in an EPCM environment with vendor data processing / design engineering processing.
- Previous experience in document control (essential).
- Basic knowledge in database management system, Aconex, QDMS or ProjectWise or equivalent.
- Familiar with managing vendor data.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skill.
- Proven time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
