This role oversees the installation of electrical systems on the project including the inspection and verification of electrical system installations in accordance with relevant specifications, standards, and the design.
The tasks you'll perform
- Monitoring, auditing and reporting on overall quality of work
- Ensuring “As built” drawings are progressively developed by the contractors, document controls are adhered to and checked / signed off as required
- Managing vendor representatives and inspection staff on site
- Ensuring that the contract work progress is in accordance with the scope of work, design drawings, standards, specifications, lists, etc
- Monitoring, auditing and reporting of workmanship
The expertise you'll bring
- Recognised Tertiary qualification
- 7+ years postgraduate experience in a similar position in mineral processing and/or related industries.
- Namibian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Proven experience of working on remote, logistically complex and/or high-risk project sites
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
