As Lycopodium organically grows as a result of awarded international projects and studies, a critical leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced Manager of Completions and Commissioning to join our growing Perth based Project team.
Reporting to the General Manager of Projects, you will be responsible for managing and leading the pre-operations testing and dry commissioning of our international projects in a safe, comprehensive manner.
The tasks you will perform:
- Oversee and coordinate the commissioning of multiple Lycopodium projects across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Providing leadership and support to a team of Commissioning Managers, ensuring projects are adequately resourced for commissioning.
- Develop commissioning management plans and schedules.
- Manage the planning and scheduling of pre-operations and commissioning activities.
- Liaising with and providing direction to the construction, commissioning and Field Engineering teams including process, mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure plant and equipment is turned over to pre-operations according to the project schedule.
- Participating in and facilitating meetings regarding scope, schedule and priorities.
- Ensuring that QA/QC, testing and commissioning documentation is completed and compiled in a timely manner.
- Managing the efficient, timely and document handover of plant and facilities to the client.
- Travel to site as required to ensure quality commissioning to regulatory and company standards and procedures.
The expertise you'll bring:
- Degree qualification in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 15+ years post graduate experience in minerals processing design engineering roles ideally in gold, copper, lithium or base metals.
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining productive relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders at all levels.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role (Commissioning Manager or equivalent).
- Previous experience with managing the testing and commissioning of complex process plants and associated infrastructure
- Experience working on an operating mine site, and familiarity with site culture and site safety protocols.
- Ability to influence decision making both verbally and in writing.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to travel to site as required.
