Lycopodium Americas is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join our growing Projects Services Group in Mississauga, Ontario.
Reporting to the Procurement & Contracts Manager the Contracts Manager will be responsible for leadership, management and execution of contract management and commercial activities supporting proposal, study and project execution phases across Lycopodium Americas projects.
The tasks you'll perform
- Develop and execute project contract strategies aligned with Project, Client, and Lycopodium objectives, including contract methodologies and execution frameworks.
- Provide commercial, contractual, and market input across proposal, study, and execution phases (contracting strategies, packaging, risk assessments, tender plans).
- Lead contract packaging and sourcing strategies balancing Canadian/local, Indigenous, and international participation, including logistics, taxation, and regional risk considerations.
- Manage interfaces among contractors, suppliers, logistics providers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment of scope, responsibilities, and contractual obligations.
- Support Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Logistics teams to align scope, execution methods, schedules, and commercial terms.
- Oversee tendering lifecycle including contractor evaluation, commercial reviews, clarification meetings, and execution methodology assessments.
- Administer complex EPC/EPCM contracts (lump sum, reimbursable, unit rate, turnkey), including variations, claims, disputes, and commercial risk management.
- Establish and maintain contract governance, reporting systems, change management processes, and contractor performance monitoring.
- Lead commercial discussions, mentor Contracts/Procurement teams, manage resources, and ensure compliance with Lycopodium procedures, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
The expertise you'll bring
- Degree in Law, Commerce, Business, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Professional accreditation (CIPS, SCMP, CCM, CPCM, PMP or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of EPC/EPCM contracting models, commercial management principles, and mining/industrial project delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP, procurement, and contract management systems.
- 10–15 years’ experience in Contracts, Commercial, and Procurement roles within EPCM, EPC, mining, construction, or heavy industry.
- Proven experience developing contracting strategies, tendering approaches, contract packaging, and complex commercial agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to administer diverse contract types (reimbursable, lump sum, unit rate, schedule of rates, turnkey) across full project lifecycle.
- Strong track record in managing contractual risk, variations, claims, contractor interfaces, and governance processes on major projects.
- Experience with Canadian/local and international contractor coordination, with strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.

The expected salary range for this role is $160,000 to $185,000. This range is based on the role’s job family and level and reflects a good faith estimate for the role at the time of posting. Your final offer will depend on factors such as market conditions, internal equity and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
