Lycopodium Infrastructure is an Australian headquartered consultancy offering asset management, engineering, architectural and project delivery services to a wide range of private and public clients nationally and internationally. Our services are delivered across a number of industry sectors including government, transport, energy, utilities, property, buildings, resources infrastructure, defence and agriculture.

Lycopodium Infrastructure are currently recruiting for a keen and enthusiastic Rail Designer to join our Newcastle based team.

The tasks you’ll perform:  

  • Produce drawings (hard copy and electronic files) in accordance with client specification, and industry best practices
  • Producing design models that are consistent with industry standards and comply to Lycopodium drawing office and CAD procedures.
  • Performing design within Autodesk, Bentley or 12D design software and use those skills within the Lycopodium defined CAD procedures.
  • Producing the layout and detailing of track or civil designs.
  • Demonstrating an ability to work in a team environment.
  • Assisting in the production of design drawings within the project agreed defined budget hours for the defined deliverable document.
  • Input the 'drafting and compilation track and civil' specifications for engineering review.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.

The expertise you’ll bring:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Civil Design or Engineering or relevant trade background
  • Experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation or 12D software
  • Demonstrated industry experience of minimum three years in design/drafting and reviews.
  • Awareness of industry drafting standards.
  • Experience in design office operations
  • Mid-level software experience and understanding.
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
