Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Project Cost Controller to join our growing Project Controls team in Mississauga, ON. 

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager the Project Cost Controller will is responsible for the accurate, effective, and timely control of Project costs and accounting functions to produce results in alignment with the client’s and project’s requirements.  

The tasks you'll perform

  • To produce accurate and timely reports as and when required by the clients and by senior management within Lycopodium.
  • Make certain that Lycopodium clients and internal customers are given the highest service level obtainable making the most efficient use of the resources
  • Ensure the quality of output of the allocated Cost and accounting teams, and that they are aligned with the needs of the project / study, the company objectives and meets the requirements of the client.
  • Develop and maintain the various project cost and accounting specific procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols to enable efficient work and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work. 

The expertise you'll bring

  • Formal post-graduate qualifications in Accounting (CPA, CA).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in project-related accounting and cost control. 
  • Computerized accounting and cost control and logistics systems, and their operation and applications.

The expected salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000.  This range is based on the role’s job family and level and reflects a good faith estimate for the role at the time of posting.  Your final offer will depend on factors such as market conditions, internal equity and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.  We believe in fair, competitive pay that reflects the value you bring to the team.
