Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a proactive and passionate Project Delivery Coordinator to join our Infrastructure team in Newcastle. This newly created role provides a strong opportunity to contribute to the success of the business whilst building upon your previous project coordination experience. You’ll work in a collaborative, supportive, and fast-paced environment where your contribution will make a real impact. 

Reporting to the Maintenance Planner, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of rail infrastructure and engineering projects by assisting Project Managers with project coordination, commercial administration and project controls. The role is well suited to a driven people person, who continuously strives towards producing quality deliverables whilst providing high-level support to the wider team.  

The tasks you'll perform

  • Ensure project obligations, documentation and reporting are managed effectively, and in line with company standards.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects from commencement through to completion.
  • Contribute to safe, efficient, and profitable project outcomes.
  • Manage project documentation, contracts, procurement activities and commercial records.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, schedules, risks, and key deliverables.
  • Assist with variations, subcontract administration, supplier engagement, and cost tracking.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support project outcomes, as well as managing subcontractors onsite to ensure safe delivery and scope objectives are met.
  • Support tendering, project mobilisation and project close-out activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

The expertise you'll bring

  • 3–5 years' experience in a project coordination, project administration or contracts administration role.
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business or similar desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, rail or infrastructure projects, with an understanding of project delivery, procurement and commercial administration.
  • Well developed organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management systems. Experience using SharePoint and Microsoft 365 would be advantageous.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • A self-starter who can readily adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Enthusiasm to go above and beyond, and a passion for providing high levels of service to facilitate exceptional experiences.
