Lycopodium Africa is currently recruiting for a Lead Document Controller to join our growing team in Cape Town.

Reporting to the Senior Controls Manager the Lead Document Controller will lead the document control function for the Group and support project teams with filing structure set up & monitoring.
The tasks you'll perform
- Manage the document control team and provide training as required to up skill.
- Managing and enforcing the collection, distribution and filing of controlled documents, including the end-to-end processing of controlled documents and correspondence exchanged between the Projects.
- Ownership of Major Projects collaborating new team setups and project setup.
- Provide training on Document Management System (EDMS) (e.g. QDMS, Aconex, DR Pro) and project processes to project when requested.
- Interacts with end users to support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
- Assist in the development/updates of document Control Processes and Procedures in accordance with Projects
The expertise you'll bring
- Recognised Tertiary Qualification in Business Administration/Information management or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience of industry related experience (i.e. mining and minerals, EPC/EPCM)
- South African citizen/Permanent Resident
- Cape Town Based
- Experience in Electronic Document Management Systems - EDMS (e.g. QDMS, Aconex, DR Pro).
- Experience in managing supplier and contractor deliverables.
- Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
- Display the core values and ethos of the business.
- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
