Due to the Company’s involvement in a number of new projects and studies, Lycopodium is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Perth based team.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this position will be responsible for the delivery of capital cost estimates in alignment with the Company's, Client’s and project requirements in terms of accuracy, quality, and schedule.

The tasks you'll perform

  • The delivery of both EPCM and EPC estimates in alignment with the Company's, Client’s and project requirements.
  • Support the Estimating Manager and wider team to consistently achieve high quality and accurate estimates, which are developed on time and in accordance with project and/or study requirements.
  •  Prepare estimate basis documents for inclusion into the main study / project documentation.
  • Provide support and/or manage estimating components of studies (concept, scoping, feasibility and detailed).
  • Develop and regularly maintain the project scope to facilitate scope change and reporting.
  • Adopt and follow the various (project specific and company) procedures, work practices, plans and protocols required to work efficiently, maintaining a consistent approach and high standard of work.
  • Ensure a high level of communication is attained with internal and external stakeholders.

The expertise you'll bring

  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent industry training.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in various aspects of Estimating and Project Management in the mineral processing and related industries.
  • Ability to interpret study level drawings, equipment lists and other data in order to prepare cost estimates.
  • Capability to establish capital cost estimates from first principles based upon previous experience and personal knowledge in the mineral processing industry with minimal assistance from other senior staff.
  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community and industrial relations issues.
