Our services are delivered across a number of industry sectors including government, transport, energy, utilities, property, buildings, resources infrastructure, defence and agriculture.
We are currently recruiting for a keen and enthusiastic Trainee Structures Inspector to join our Newcastle based team. This position will see you gaining practical industry experience whilst you complete your relevant Rail Infrastructure qualifications. You will be placed in a team who will guide you through work on real world rail projects & experience what it is like to work as a professional in this industry, as well as get a taste of the options available to you in pursuing a career with us.
What you'll be doing:
- Working locally and Australia wide on a rostering system learning to provide unbiased and independent advice to our Clients.
- Learning to undertake Visual Structures Inspections.
- Identifying and assessing defects under guidance.
- Supporting the development of repair scopes and methods.
- Embracing innovation and continuous improvement, including the latest technologies in the field.
You will Possess:
- Safely Access the Rail Corridor Statement of Attainment TLI21311).
- Enrolled in, or eligible to commence, a Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure (TLI21311).
- Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction (CPCCWHS1001).
- Current Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID011)
- Australian permanent residency or valid work rights.
- Class C Driver’s License (provisional P1 or above).
- Strong technical aptitude and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- A positive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Great communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a small, close-knit team.
- Commitment to personal development and growing within the role.
