Senior/Lead Structural/ Civil Designers

Lycopodium is looking for motivated and ambitious Senior/Lead Structural/ Civil Designers to join our expanding team in Perth, these individuals will need to have experience in modelling/detailing complex reinforced concrete structures.

Due to the Company’s involvement in a number of new projects and studies, we are currently recruiting for experienced Senior/Lead Structural/ Civil Designers to join our Perth based team,

The tasks you’ll perform:  

• Be proficient in all aspects of AutoCAD and Microstation software, complying with the necessary Company and project procedures.
• Modelling/detailing complex reinforced concrete structures such as Mill foundations, Primary Crushing chambers or similar
• Assist in the layout and detailing of materials handling and mine plant design.  
• Review of vendor drawings and design data.
• Ensuring project schedules and man-hour budgets are met for areas of assigned work.
• Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design work criteria and deliverables.
• Producing Company and industry standard models and design drawings from the design engineer calculations and sketches.
• Follow and implement all relevant Company standards and procedures and ensure design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International Standards.
• Ensure the correct use of project defined standard design details and notes are used in the production of project design drawings.
• Collate and compile project reporting requirements in accordance with Company and Client standards to a high level of accuracy and professionalism. 

The expertise you’ll bring:

• Structural design experience in mineral processing plants
• Experience in Bentley OBD/ Microstation
• Experience in gold, base metals and iron ore is advantageous
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including Clients, vendors and co-workers
• Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge across a broad range of disciplines
