In light of upcoming new projects nationally and internationally, Lycopodium is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Study Manager to join and support our team in Canada to help enable our organic business growth.
This position will involve, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Lead all phases of scoping, pre‑feasibility, and feasibility studies, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are consistently achieved.
- Oversee multidisciplinary coordination, including Planners, Estimators, internal engineering teams, and specialist consultants (geology, mining, geotechnical, environmental, tailings, etc.).
- Produce and manage high‑quality technical documentation, including authoring report sections, coordinating NI 43‑101–compliant study reports, and maintaining accurate project records and reporting.
- Ensure excellence in engineering deliverables, proactively responding to changes, reviewing team outputs, and maintaining compliance with company and client standards.
- Support business development, contributing to proposals, budgets, schedules, presentations, and providing timely study progress updates to internal and client stakeholders.
- Foster team development and continuous improvement, including mentoring staff, enhancing communication, supporting colleagues, and leading or contributing to improvement initiatives and Planning team leadership.
What you will bring:
- University degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline, with 15+ years’ experience in studies, design, project management, or a comparable industry role.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑quality work within schedule and budget constraints, while operating effectively with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Strong technical aptitude with advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, and deep knowledge of study management principles.
- Excellent time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate appropriately, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated business acumen with the flexibility to adapt to different business environments.
- Committed to team development, including mentoring, supporting professional growth, and contributing to succession planning.
- Upholds the company’s values with integrity, credibility, sound judgment, and strict confidentiality.

The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000. This range is based on the role’s job family and level and reflects a good faith estimate for the role at the time of posting. Your final offer will depend on factors such as market conditions, internal equity and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
