Lycopodium is currently recruiting for an HSE Lead to join our growing HSE team in Mississauga, Ontario.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Provide corporate HSE Leadership to Lycopodium Minerals Canada Limited Toronto office. 
  • Prepare Project Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plans and Emergency Response Plans, including Client requirements, statutory requirements and ongoing corporate learnings and improvements. 
  • Liaise with Global Mobility to support site personnel mobilization from an HSE and security clearance perspective. Assist in preparing HSE, CR / IR and security-related components of tenders and proposals.
  • Liaise with the Perth site security team to prepare, review and assess country and project site safety risks
  • Coordinate and report on HSE performance across all Projects and offices
  • Provide relief for site based HSE personnel during R&R or periods requiring additional site assistance / support. 
  • Provide HSE representation in the business-critical client meetings
  • Notify senior management of material incidents and ensure all incidents are properly closed our across our Projects. 
  • Provide HSE governance and Consistency across project sites.
  • Provide site rotation coverage to the Site HSE manager.
  • Conduct HSE systems audits on-site and report with recommendations.
  • Monitor audit schedules and corrective action items for closure.
  • Oversee incident reporting protocols and data management within INX.
  • Facilitate project safety risk assessments
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Maintain all HSE, CR/IR and security records in accordance with the Client’s, statutory and Project requirements. Maintain INX as Lycopodium’s main repository for these records including close out of corrective actions. 

The expertise you'll bring

  • Minimum 7 years experience in mineral processing and/or oil and gas
  • Experience in both site and office / administration HSE
  • Occupational health assessment experience
