Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Manager is responsible to manage and direct project site activities and resources to ensure successful project delivery.

The tasks you’ll perform:

  • Manage project execution and on time delivery
  • Ensure the proper utilisation of people, material, machinery and process to meet the client requirements within the timelines and budget
  • Ensure all site activities are conducted in a manner that prioritises health, safety, the environment and community and industrial relations
  • Lead, Manage and Support the project Construction Team to ensure optimal performance
  • Foster and Maintain strong working relationships with Clients, Colleagues and Contractors
  • Promote a positive culture by leading by example, coaching, and mentoring supervisors and engineers.

The expertise you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Construction and/or Project Management, or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • 20+ years’ experience in Construction and/or Project Management in minerals processing and related industries
  • Namibian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Proven experience of working on remote, logistically complex and/or high risk project sites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
