Role Overview
As Senior HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across live projects and corporate head office, delivering practical, commercially focused people solutions.
This is a hands‑on, embedded role for an experienced HR professional who thrives in technically complex, operational settings and enjoys being close to the business. You will translate business strategy and delivery priorities into practical people, workforce and organisational solutions, while supporting leaders through growth, performance and change.

Key Responsibilities;
- Partner closely with senior leaders across live construction projects and the corporate head office, providing commercially focused people support
- Translate business strategy, delivery requirements and growth plans into practical workforce and people strategies
- Advise leaders on organisation design, role clarity, operating models and structural change
- Lead performance, talent and succession discussions within assigned portfolios
- Provide pragmatic, solutions‑focused advice through complex people and performance challenges
- Design and maintain role bandings and remuneration frameworks, and lead annual remuneration review cycles
- Manage complex employee relations matters, acting as an escalation point for sensitive or high‑risk issues
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and strong HR governance
- Leverage technology, AI and people data to improve HR efficiency, insight and decision‑making across the business
About You
You are a senior, commercially astute HR Business Partner who is comfortable operating in fast‑paced, operational environments and being visibly present with leaders and teams.
- An established Senior HR Business Partner or an experienced HR Business Partner ready to take their next step, with experience supporting delivery‑led teams
- Strong capability across employee relations, performance management and people risk
- Experience leading remuneration frameworks and annual review cycles
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation
- High commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior leaders
- A genuine willingness to maintain regular on‑site presence to effectively support the business
- A strong interest in AI, technology and data‑driven, modern HR practices
- Comfortable working across a blend of on‑site project environments, our CBD head office and flexible WFH, with most projects located across Melbourne metro
