With a healthy and growing pipeline of work, we are looking for talented and driven Contract Administrators to join new stages about to begin at various project locations.

In this role, you will contribute to commercial performance across major data centre projects within Kapitol’s centralised commercial structure – where procurement and delivery functions operate as specialised streams, and work closely together to strengthen governance, buying power and project outcomes.

Depending on project requirements and experience, you may support procurement activities, delivery commercial administration, or a combination of both – working closely with Senior Contract Administrators and project teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

You will embody an Inspirational approach to work.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with developing procurement schedules and ensuring trade packages are awarded in line with project requirements
  • Prepare and administer subcontract agreements in accordance with Kapitol’s commercial governance
  • Assess and process subcontractor progress claims, variations, invoices and final accounts
  • Assist with head contract progress claims, notices, variations and commercial correspondence
  • Maintain accurate cost reporting, cash flow forecasts, accruals and project registers
  • Contribute to monthly commercial reporting, forecasting and risk and opportunity reviews
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance, including insurances, statutory declarations, warranties and security requirements
  • Work closely with project teams, Trade Partners, consultants and internal stakeholders to resolve commercial matters
  • Support project close-out, including deeds of release, final accounts, retention and DLP requirements
  • Share lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of Kapitol’s commercial systems and processes

What you’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least three years’ experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction
  • Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction experience will be highly regarded
  • Sound understanding of procurement, subcontract administration, progress claims, variations and commercial reporting
  • Strong financial acumen and confidence working with project budgets, forecasts and cost reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management capability
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a project team
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to identify risks and opportunities
  • Experience with JobPac, PayApps, ProcurePro, Aconex or similar construction systems will be highly regarded

We are Driven to offer you a great career and benefits.

  • Agile, fast-tracked career development pathways
  • Industry-specific and personally tailored leading training and development
  • 5-day week work, Monday to Friday
  • Flexible working arrangement options and hours
  • Salary continuous insurance (great if applying for a mortgage)
  • Paid Parental Leave, financial and practical support
  • Expanding selection of health and wellbeing initiatives
  • And there is so much more for us to discuss with you!

Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this position and successfully complete a Medical and Federal Police Check.
