Who you are

As a Senior Software Engineer (Data) at Humanforce, you will play a critical role in the end-to-end development of a brand-new product within our platform suite. You’ll be responsible for delivering engineering solutions that embed actionable data insights directly into the product experience.

Your work will underpin our customer-facing analytics capabilities—enabling users to uncover insights and take action across areas such as workforce management, HR, compliance, and employee wellbeing.

This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering role that spans the full stack—from data integration and UI development to orchestration and observability. You will work within a cross-functional squad that includes engineering, data engineering, and analytics specialists.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and own a new web application that integrates third-party systems via SDKs and APIs.
  • Collaborate with product, data, and design teams to create intuitive, data-driven experiences that help customers make better workforce decisions.
  • Translate high-level product goals into a sequenced technical roadmap with well-defined milestones and deliverables.
  • Take ownership of the application’s engineering architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain user-centric, scalable UI components using TypeScript and Next.js/React.
  • Define and uphold technical standards and best practices within the engineering team.
  • Work closely with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure robust deployment pipelines and cloud-native operations.
  • Implement a high level of observability, testing, and monitoring throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to engineers within your squad.

 What you’ll need

  • 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with end-to-end ownership of customer-facing applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and deep experience with React/Next.js.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex features across multi-product or multi-module applications, from architecture through to production.
  • Solid experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, GitHub Actions, and AWS.
  • Strong working knowledge of testing and observability tools, including Playwright, BrowserStack, and New Relic.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a strong product and user experience mindset.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms is a plus.
