We are passionate about people making their own decisions about where and when they work. Our aim is to facilitate hybrid working (mix of in the office and from home) where possible to support our people to be effective, empowered, and productive to achieve both their career and personal goals. Because we recognise that working flexibly means different things to different people, flexible working exists in many forms.

AI at Humanforce
At Humanforce, we're not experimenting at the edges of AI — we're redesigning the core of how we operate. We see AI as a fundamental shift, not an incremental improvement, and we're deliberately moving toward becoming an AI-native organisation.
That means rethinking how work gets done end-to-end: how we build our products, make decisions, serve customers, and scale impact. We're not layering AI onto old ways of working — we're redefining and reimagining our processes, tools, and team structures to take full advantage of what AI makes possible.
Who you are
You are a commercially and customer-minded product manager with domain expertise in HRIS or HR technology. You understand how HR practitioners and people teams actually work - not just in theory, but in practice and you bring that insight directly into how you define, prioritise, and ship product.
You thrive in a delivery-focused environment where you own your roadmap, make decisions with incomplete information, and move quickly. You're comfortable working deeply embedded within an engineering team, know how to build trust fast, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You'll drive product thinking, own near-term priorities including a critical position management capability, and contribute to the development of AI-powered HRIS features that are shaping the future of how HR teams operate.
What you will do
- Own the product roadmap for your area of the HRM Tribe, driving discovery, prioritisation, and delivery of near-term capabilities — including key upcoming strategic projects; Humanforce's position management feature and the LMS product
- Lead the development of HR agentic workflows: work with engineering to design, define, and ship AI-powered automation within the HRIS product that meaningfully improves how HR practitioners operate
- Translate customer pain points into well-defined product requirements — writing clear PRDs, acceptance criteria, and specifications that engineering can act on without ambiguity
- Be embedded in delivery: run sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as an active and accountable member of the engineering team
- Build and maintain strong customer feedback loops — conducting discovery interviews, synthesising insights, and ensuring real customer needs shape every product decision
- Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering leads, design, sales, implementation, and customer success to align on priorities and communicate trade-offs
- Represent your product area to internal leadership: provide clear visibility on roadmap progress, risks, and outcomes on a regular cadence
What you’ll need
- 2 - 4 years of product management experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with a track record of owning features end-to-end from discovery through to launch
- Strong HRIS or HR system experience, either as a PM who has built HR products, or as a practitioner or implementer with deep knowledge of how these systems work (position management, org hierarchies, leave accruals, and similar concepts)
- Genuine customer acumen; you regularly talk to customers yourself, can distinguish between what people say they want and what they actually need, and let that insight drive product direction
- Collaborative working style with the ability to operate effectively across multi-site engineering teams in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.
- Clear, direct communicator who can make confident decisions, explain trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences, and deliver difficult messages constructively.
- Comfort with ambiguity and pace, you can operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, high-growth environment without needing a perfectly defined brief.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in your day-to-day work, or strong and genuine eagerness to adopt and apply them, including in the context of building AI-enabled products.
Some ‘nice to haves’
- Experience with payroll systems or workforce management products
- Hands-on familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar, and experience incorporating them into product workflows or building AI-adjacent features
- Background in a PE-backed or high-growth technology business where pace, autonomy, and adaptability are table stakes
