Who you are
You are a detail-driven revenue operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You enjoy owning end-to-end subscription and billing workflows, leveraging data to uncover insights, and collaborating cross-functionally to strengthen commercial, financial, and customer outcomes. You bring a strong analytical mindset, operational discipline, and the confidence to interpret contracts and ensure customers receive a seamless subscription experience.
What you will do
Subscription & Revenue Management
- Manage the full subscription lifecycle including new sign-ups, renewals, expansions, downgrades, cancellations, and refunds.
- Maintain accurate customer and subscription data within CRM, billing, and revenue systems.
- Monitor recurring revenue metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, Gross & Net Retention) and investigate variances or anomalies.
Billing & Invoicing Operations
- Oversee automated billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing for all subscription customers.
- Review, reconcile, and troubleshoot billing issues such as payment failures, tax discrepancies, proration, and credit application.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure revenue recognition aligns with accounting standards.
Customer Queries & Issue Resolution
- Act as the escalation point for subscription-related queries from customers and internal teams.
- Diagnose and resolve issues relating to billing errors, platform access, contract terms, or system discrepancies.
- Provide clear, customer-friendly explanations of complex SaaS billing behavior (prorations, billing cycles, renewals).
Contract Review & Compliance
- Review customer contracts, order forms, and SOWs for billing accuracy, term alignment, and revenue implications.
- Verify subscription terms, price points, entitlements, and renewal conditions before activation.
- Ensure all agreements adhere to internal policies and relevant compliance requirements.
Systems & Process Optimization
- Monitor SaaS billing platforms and CRM integrations – escalation to RevSystems when issues detected.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and reduce billing errors.
- Lead or contribute to process improvement projects that support scale and enhance customer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution of subscription and license entitlement.
- Support Sales with deal structuring guidance and customer-specific billing arrangements.
- Provide reporting and insights to leadership on subscription health and revenue performance.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 2–4+ years’ experience in SaaS, revenue operations, billing, finance operations, or a related field
- Experience working with subscription or recurring revenue business models
- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and recurring revenue mechanics
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms
- Confidence using CRM and billing/finance platforms
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Direct experience using AI tools in your day-to-day work, or a strong openness and eagerness to learn how to apply them to enhance outcomes
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and SaaS billing platforms
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with financial systems or ERP tools
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical abilities to identify trends, investigate anomalies, and recommend solutions
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with financial and contractual data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex billing concepts clearly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Finance
