Hitachi Construction Machinery is looking for a self-motivated Marketing Communications Coordinator / Specialist to join our International Operations team based in Wacol, Brisbane.

The main objectives of this role is to support our Global Mining business and manage the current marketing sales tools, develop new marketing material whilst support the transition towards a digital marketing platform and any other marketing / communications activities as required.

Reporting to the Management Team, you will be responsible to:

  • Produce and update relevant material with assistance from internal stakeholders for new product launches, such as catalogues, brochures, presentations, press releases, etc.
  • Develop and oversee the sales media tools required to assist the dealer network in promoting mining equipment and services.
  • Produce product information, tools and sales material for both the company and our clients use.
  • Assist in the planning, creating and monitoring of digital media content, including drafting a report to measure performance.
  • Develop marketing initiatives to promote, and increase market penetration and brand awareness of Global Mining by using various marketing tools in a cost effective manner.
  • Support mining related events by preparing promotional media such as videos, panels and displays for these events as required.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience and/or degree in (digital) marketing, communications or a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in a similar communications role within a B2B environment.
  • Excellent creative copywriting and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of online / digital content.
  • Experience in managing multiple social media platforms.
  • Computer, Microsoft suite software skills and working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and associated design tools required.
  • Ability to design the artwork required for content would be an advantage.
  • Flexibility with hours and tasks as this is a small team.
