We currently have an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified HD Fitter / Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our team based at Roy Hill as a Site Supervisor. This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work as part of a team and drive the reliability and availability of the mobile fleet while keeping an impeccable safety record. Main responsibilities include:
Organising a team and ensuring they are following safety and operational procedures
Staff rostering and Flight Management
Providing assistance to Service Personnel and Parts and Service Advisors as required, helping with parts and technical concerns
Identify areas for improvement and work with the customer to address any shortcomings
Escalate all issues to relevant teams and within a timely manner
At all times maintain an open communication and good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments
Ensure that all interactions with internal and external customers and stakeholders is professional and courteous as you are required to continuously ‘Promote & Enhance’ Hitachi’s promise of Total Customer Satisfaction
This role will have you working a 5/2 roster, spending Monday to Thursday onsite with Friday in the Hitachi Forrestdale (Perth) branch.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic trade qualifications
Previous experience in a leadership role with frontline operational experience with the desire to develop, influence and motivate a team of operational staff
Working knowledge of planning and scheduling with the ability to deliver in tight timeframes
Demonstrated background experience with Hitachi mobile equipment will be highly regarded
Good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships
Safety focus and abide by site safety processes
