Open Space Maintenance - City of Casey

About the Role

As a Mower Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking routine maintenance works in Council controlled parks, reserves and selected roadsides.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in their work.

• Mowing, Brushcutting, detailing, litter removal and weed spraying of Council reserves
• Perform routine prestart checks on your daily equipment
• Ensure open spaces are maintained to a high standard
• Follow and practice safety protocols and procedures

 About You

• Ability to operate Zero Turn Mowers, brush cutters and small power equipment
• Knowledge or herbicide applications and techniques
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Ride on Mower experience of Council Controlled sites will be highly regarded
• Current White Card and Working with Children check or willingness to obtain
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check
