We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Fleet Manager to take national ownership of fleet strategy, governance, procurement, and capital planning across our Australian operations.
This is a high-impact role responsible for driving standardisation, improving commercial outcomes, strengthening governance, and delivering greater visibility and control across a large and diverse national fleet.

About the Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Landscape Services, you will lead the national fleet function across vehicles, equipment, fuel governance, supplier management, and fleet-related Capex.
You will work closely with Operations, Finance, workshops, suppliers, and senior leadership to improve utilisation, control costs, optimise lifecycle management, and strengthen fleet governance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the national fleet strategy across vehicles and operational equipment
- Manage fleet procurement, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations
- Drive standardisation of fleet specifications, replacement timing, and policy compliance
- Oversee fuel governance, tolls, registrations, utilisation reporting, and fleet analytics
- Lead fleet Capex planning, replacement programs, and repair versus replacement decisions
- Improve visibility, reporting, and data-driven decision making across the fleet
- Partner with OEMs and suppliers to identify innovation and continuous improvement opportunities
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, Finance, workshops, and suppliers nationally
About You
You are a commercially astute fleet or asset management professional who can balance operational needs with strong governance and financial discipline.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in fleet management, procurement, asset lifecycle management, or a related discipline
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management capability
- Experience managing fleet governance, policy, and Capex in a multi-site environment
- Strong analytical and reporting capability with the ability to translate data into business outcomes
- Confidence influencing stakeholders and challenging non-standard decisions constructively
- A structured, pragmatic, and improvement focused approach
