Garden Maintenance Team Member / Horticulturalist

This full-time position offers 38 hours per week at a prestigious school site. As a Horticulturist, you will have the opportunity to assist with leading a skilled team, ensuring our client's standards of garden maintenance are always exceeded. Responsibilities 

• Assist with leading a team of maintenance staff and the ability to work autonomously to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Follow schedules and prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of garden maintenance activities, including planting, hedging, weeding, pruning and fertilising.
• You will be responsible for maintaining various areas across the school, ensuring exceptional care and service to gardens from Junior to Senior levels.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices.
• Regularly inspect garden areas to assess their condition, identify improvements needed, and implement corrective actions.

About You 

You hold a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens along with as White Card and current drivers licence.

You have a passion for delivering quality work and have proven yourself to be a team player with excellent communication skills.

As the role is based on a school site we have compliance requirements that include all staff having a Working with Children Check and National Police Check prior to commencing - you must be willing to obtain both of these.
