As a Regional General Manager – Workstay, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring we provide a home away from home for guests in our Workstay villages and holiday parks in resource rich regions.

About the Role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Workstay, the Regional General Manager ensures the smooth and efficient day-to-day operating rhythm of Discovery Parks’ Workstay business, which consist of 22 holiday park and worker village properties around Australia. You play a key role in ensuring high quality service standards are maintained across (8 properties in WA, NT and SA / 9 in QLD).
You will ensure consistency in driving service delivery standards and be an integral collaborator with our business development teams to drive growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end operations across multiple Workstay and accommodation sites and drive performance improvements across site operations, service delivery, and asset utilization
- Lead, mentor, and develop property management teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, service excellence, and collaboration
- With the support of the Executive General Manager – Workstay, lead implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to drive improved performance which may be either business-wide or property specific
- Support recruitment and workforce planning with strong communication rhythms
- Own regional margin performance, including wage control, cost of goods sold (COGS) and utilities and waste control and implement strategies to improve sustainable profitability
- A key escalation point and decision maker within the business for incident response and relevant business partners in Business Development, Marketing, People and Culture, Asset Maintenance, WH&S, Customer Experience and Finance teams.
- Align service delivery with brand standards and market expectations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety and operational standards leveraging PowerBI enabled issue identification system.
- A desire to be a part of our ambition to grow the Workstay business is preferred
Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior experience in regional operational management or in the management of workforce villages, facility management or holiday parks highly desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in business management or commerce
- Ability to work autonomously, with an appetite to solve problems and collaborate
