About the role

DRA Operations are currently seeking experienced CHPP Maintenance Electricians to join our core team on site in Central Queensland. These positions will be offered on Full Time Max Term (October 2026) contracts and will see you work a 7/7 roster with flights from Carins, Townsville or Rockhampton provided and camp accommodation whilst on site.

Whilst Cairns, Rockhampton and Townsville are our primary FIFO hubs we encourage applicants from all regional Queensland communities to apply.

As apart of our core team, you will find that no two days are the same on site with DRA. Your duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks as required
  • Maintain complete equipment records and documentation related to tests, maintenance, modifications, and repairs
  • Consistently seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity through process improvements. 
  • Housekeeping and general maintenance of all areas of the CHPP, Train Loadout and Yard.

About you

Our ideal candidate is a positive and safety-conscious team player with a strong work ethic who posses the following;

  • Electrical Trade Qualification / QLD Electrical License
  • Relevant experience within a fixed plant maintenance background in a similar industry
  • Instrumentation experience is desirable, including calibration, installation, and maintenance of sensors, transmitters, and other instrumentation equipment.
  • Current Coal Board Medical
  • Current Standard 11
  • Valid Australian Drivers License
  • Valid Right to Work in Australia
  • Current LVR/CPR 
  • Demonstrated safety focus with the ability to work safely and effectively as part of a dynamic team
