The Human Resources (HR) Advisor works with the HR team to implement practical, high-impact programs that enable employees for growth and impact, shape a positive work environment and enhance engagement.
About the Role
With a focus on continuous improvement and data-driven insights, the HR Advisor supports the business in strengthening culture and operational excellence through collaborative HR solutions.
Here’s what a typical day will look like:
- Partner with the stakeholders and the broader HR team to implement employee initiatives and various HR projects.
- Develop, implement and manage learning and development programs for employees.
- Manage the onboarding, offboarding and internal movements to ensure smooth, engaging experiences that support role readiness, continuous learning and insights for improvement.
- Provide timely HR advice and support to managers and employees on the interpretation and application of HR policies, guidelines and procedures as well as workplace legislation.
About You
We’re seeking a pragmatic and trusted HR generalist who enjoys working closely with stakeholders in mid-sized, privately owned and technology-enabled commercial organisations. This role is ideal for someone who's ready to move into the HR advisory space and who will thrive in a dynamic environment, providing end-to-end HR support with a commercially sound and aligned to business growth mindset.
You’ll have a sound understanding of Australian employment law, a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and a passion for creating positive, engaging employee experience.
To be successful, you will also bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a contemporary HR generalist role - preferably within a mid-sized, commercial or technology-focused organisation
- Demonstrated experience across core HR disciplines, including performance management and learning and development
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or human resources discipline
- Strong systems capability, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SuccessFactors or Workday is advantageous
- A customer-focused mindset, with a proven ability to deliver practical, high-quality HR outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage sensitive matters, show empathy, and build trusted relationships across the business
