The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Brand Manager to join our Dulux Retail team based in Wellington. You will develop and implement marketing plans for the Dulux portfolio of premium brands and manage the effective deployment of the marketing budget to maximise long-term sales and profitability whilst guarding the integrity of our market-leading brands.

Reporting directly to the Retail Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for brand planning and execution management across the Dulux product portfolio. This is a business-critical role in the Dulux Retail team which is responsible for the development and execution of the brand strategy with the goal to deliver profitable revenue, category & share growth.

Day to day you’ll be:

  • Develop and execute innovative and cost-effective marketing and promotional plans that enhance brand equity with our NZ retail customers.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement branding strategies for retail channels.
  • Harnessing consumer insights through research, consumer interaction & industry participation.
  • Lead and manage complex and multi-functional projects and people
  • Develop and implement a cohesive, long-term category and brand strategy to deliver profitable growth.

What you will bring and develop

We're seeking an experienced marketer with an entrepreneurial mindset who can demonstrate examples of leading the strategic marketing process. You will have a passion for leading and supporting a team and will be motivated by the hands-on implementation of branding strategies.  

As a great team leader, you’ll be able to innovate and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across the group in a constantly growing/changing environment. Your ability to influence, build relationships, and keen analytical thinking will see you succeed in the role.

Other key skills and experience include:

  • Qualifications in Marketing or related field
  • Prior work experience in FMCG/Large complex organisation/agency 
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding
  • Demonstrated team management experience
  • Sound project management experience
  • Understanding or experience in a manufacturing/product development environment
