The Role

Discovery Parks – Nagambie is set in a stunning lakeside destination in regional Victoria, offering guests a relaxed holiday experience with high‑quality accommodation, facilities, and grounds. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to support the Park Manager in overseeing all maintenance operations, grounds management, and development projects across the park. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in presentation and safety, and thrives in a guest‑focused hospitality environment.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Overseeing and coordinating all grounds and maintenance activities across the park
  • Leading, supporting, and developing the grounds and maintenance team
  • Implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs in line with Discovery Way
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation across cabins, sites, amenities, pools, playgrounds, and common areas
  • Conducting routine and reactive maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
  • Managing contractors and liaising on capital works and development projects
  • Responding to maintenance issues, breakdowns, and emergencies to minimise guest disruption
  • Supporting the Park Manager with budgeting, labour management, and financial reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental, statutory, and Discovery Parks standards
  • Contributing to a positive guest experience through well‑presented, safe facilities


What You Will Need

  • Trade qualification (Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, Mechanic or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance leadership role (hospitality or accommodation preferred)
  • Strong people leadership and team management skills
  • Hands‑on, solution‑focused approach to maintenance and problem‑solving
  • Sound understanding of budgets, labour costs, and resource management
  • Ability to manage contractors and maintenance projects
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working in environmentally sensitive locations (desirable)
  • Current C‑Class (manual) driver’s licence
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)

Prior to an offer of employment being made, candidates must provide a Federal Police Clearance.

This role may involve extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery.
