The Role
We are looking for a hard working, energetic individual to join our team as a Food & Beverage Supervisor. You will provide excellent customer service and F&B waiting for the various F&B venues at Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon, to ensure the presentation of bar and food areas are in accordance with the high standards of our Discovery brand.
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Providing general food & beverage waiting duties, meeting and greeting guests, taking guest's orders, clearing tables
- Assisting in managing cash, stock and asset security strategies in line with company policies and procedures
- Assisting with delivery, distribution and rotation of stock
- Conducting stock takes and stock movement reporting
- Monitoring rosters, team member allocation, daily changes and attendance approval
- Identifying problems or issues that are required to be escalated to Senior Management
- Maintaining safe work environment by assisting with implementation of OH&S policies and procedures
- Other duties as directed by the F&B Manager
About You
To be successful in this role you must have the following knowledge, experience and attributes:
- Positive, bubbly and outgoing personality
- Fantastic customer service
- Relevant resort/hotel/food & beverage experience
- Certified Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Certified Food Handling Certificate
- Coffee making/Barista training certificate (desirable but not necessary)
- Previous experience with Opera/Micros POS (desirable but not necessary)
- Team orientated but also able to work autonomously
- Excellent time management skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Flexible attitude to hours, including weekends and on short notice
- Effective decision making skills
