The Role

The Maintenance and Gardening Department plays a vital role across El Questro to ensure the highest standards of upkeep of all infrastructure, equipment, gardens and grounds. They are also responsible for ensuring that all fundamental equipment such as generators, pump systems and small tools are continuously maintained. This position is a hands-on-role, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor.

Duties

  • Ensuring the maintenance of irrigation systems
  • General Maintenance work
  • Removing leaves around the resort.
  • Pest and Weed Control
  • General gardening and landscaping throughout the resort.

Skills & Experience

We are recruiting for two General Hand positions. One requires a carpentry background and should hold a HR drivers licence. The other position requires a mechanical background.

  • High level of fitness and energy
  • Previous experience in Maintenance
  • Display attention to detail in order to create and maintain a stunning and natural horticultural environment
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Unrestricted/Open Driver's License
  • Fork Lift License is desirable
  • Landscaping/horticultural qualifications are desirable but not essential as proven experience will be vital.
  • A fun, energetic, hardworking and lively personality!
  • An admiration for living in a remote wilderness paradise and have a love for the great outdoors!

This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
