The Role

This role will lead the trade distribution strategy, designed to develop and grow strong, profitable trade partnerships. These partnerships will drive Inbound, Domestic and Group business to our properties.   You will drive this strategy by providing the highest level of customer service to our trade partners. You will source and develop new business and manage key relationships for both Domestic and International markets. 

The role will be responsible for implementing trade marketing activity, tactical campaigns and negotiation of agreements with key trade partners, with a purpose to maximise Discovery Parks distribution and exposure via trade partnerships. You will provide end-to-end support for partners, from negotiation to execution. You will support partners in overcoming challenges and ensure the process is as efficient as possible, prompting systemisation where there is an opportunity to do so. 

Your responsibilities will include:

-         Systemisation of trade processes to ensure continuous development of efficiencies and processes

-         Frequent travel for product training, industry events & familiarisations with key partners

-         The ability to negotiate commercial agreements that deliver profitable partnerships, high return and drive occupancy to off-peak periods

-         Research, analyse, evaluate and report on partnership activities

-         Deliver a range of trade communications tools for trade channels

Your Experience

To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Tourism or a related discipline. Combined with your commercial experience you will be passionate about our industry and focused on the strategy. 

You will enjoy a high level of energy, self-motivation, decisiveness, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset, with the ability to manage various stakeholders whilst working closely with our established team.
