The Role
Discovery Holiday Parks is undergoing a significant period of growth and is undertaking an historic transformation to build the Park and Digital Experience of the future. Accordingly, significant investment is being made into technology and business processes to ensure we can provide market leading experiences to our customers in both the physical and digital realm. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to use the latest Microsoft tools and technologies to develop a state-of-the-art ecosystem.
This server-side development opportunity as a .NET Developer will focus on developing and integrating our systems to create new digital offerings. You will be integrating with and creating API’s that fundamentally underpin both our digital and physical business offering.
In this role you will contribute to the shaping of our next generation platform utilising “best-in-class” applications, infrastructure and processes.
This role will require you to;
· Analyse, design and develop systems to fulfil documented requirements
· Provide estimates during sprint planning / project planning and road-mapping sessions
· Work with external vendors and consultants to ensure crisp, real-time API integration
· Provide 3rd level support on code produced to ensure minimum downtime to any identified defects
· Support the Senior Project Manager and other members of the IT Management team in delivering a best-in-class ecosystem through providing the deliverables needed in the specific project methodology identified for each project
Liaising closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will have a collaborative personal style and be commercial as well as customer focussed.
Your Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience, along with working knowledge of fundamental computer science concepts and algorithms is essential to the success of this role.
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in working with Kentico Xperience, or other enterprise CMS systems, .NET framework, C#, integrating with multiple API’s and RESTful API development experience. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills which will be utilised when working across cross function teams and external stakeholders. Familiarity with front end development, particularly with some or all the following tools: JavaScript frameworks, NodeJS, Webpack, HTML, SASS, Git.
You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at Discovery Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
