The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experience manager to be the onsite Operations Manager at either our iconic Undara Experience resort or Discovery Mount Surprise, in a Full Time Ongoing capacity.

We are looking for two individuals with the ability to manage the day to day operations of each resort including Tours Operations, Food and Beverage deliver, and accommodation services with the properties head of departments and supervisors. With support from the General Manager who oversees both resorts, the leadership team will encourage staff to grow and develop in their roles.

This is a close-knit team enjoying small town living. You will be able to prioritise your workload and the ability to adapt to change while working to achieve daily outcomes and understanding the big picture, always with the guest experience as the priority. People with Duty Manager roles are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in hospitality or tourism management or other related industries;
  • Proven experience in managing, developing and training staff
  • Strong computer skills, especially in the MS Office suite and POS and PMS systems
  • Understand WHS requirements and responsibilities
  • A love of customer facing communication, tourism and ideally the outdoors and the desire to be part of a regional town
  • Ability to work in a multi diverse role across multiple departments 
  • Stock take, Monitoring of stock levels, Rostering

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Activities/Tours and Venue Management highly desirable
  • Experience in Vehicle or fleet management is highly desirable
  • A flexible attitude to work, and work hours (including weekends and after hours) and ability to adapt to change;
  • Proven experience dealing with local stakeholders
  • Team orientated but also able to work autonomously 
  • Excellent time and communication management skills 
  • Queensland RSA (essential)
  • Drivers License (essential) (manual license preferred)
  • LR Drivers License (highly desirable)
  • Senior first aid (highly desirable)
