The Role

A fantastic opportunity is now available at El Questro Wilderness Park for experienced and enthusiastic applicants for the roles of Tour Guides. 

As a Tour Guide/Driver you are central to ensuring our guests experience the very highest levels of service and safety while on our tours. Tour Guides are an integral part of the property's daily operations from transfers in and out of Kununurra to Guided tours; ranging from bird watching, guided gorge walks, boat cruises, and 4x4 experiences.

Duties

  • Conducting pick up and welcomes for guests and drop offs to the airport
  • Guiding tours from gorge walking, 4x4 driving, commentary on boat cruises to name a few
  • Creating memorable experiences for guests and provided a vast knowledge of The Kimberley

Skills & Experience

  • Senior First Aid - Essential
  • Manual Driver's License - Essential
  • PTD Authorisation WA (Desirable)
  • MR License (Essentional)
  • Highly developed Guest Service Skills
  • Strong Interest in Wildlife & Nature
  • Ability to work well under pressure and autonomously
  • Previous experience with Tour Guiding or within the tourism industry
  • West Australian MR Licence - Desirable
  • West Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol - Desirable
  • Demonstrated competency in 4WDing or completion of a 4WD course - Desirable
  • Relevant qualification in either Guiding/Environmental/Education - Desirable

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at El Questro. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
