Discovery Parks Narooma is growing, and we're looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to grow with us.

Already home to 50 cabins, 6 glamping tents and more than 250 sites, the park has exciting plans to expand its cabin accommodation, making this a fantastic opportunity to help shape its future.

Reporting to the Park Manager, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the park and help lead a team of 16 across reception, guest services and park operations.

You'll receive a three-bedroom onsite accommodation with utilities included. It's pet friendly, has an enclosed garden, and is perfectly positioned to enjoy everything Narooma has to offer—from beautiful beaches and mountain bike trails to fishing, kayaking and four-wheel driving.

Your New Role

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading daily park operations across reception, guest services and the wider park.
  • Overseeing guest check-ins, reservations, and accounts.
  • Assisting with budgeting, cost control and revenue performance
  • Managing after-hours enquiries and operational issues when required
  • Supporting and developing a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring and leading by example.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts to attract new guests.
  • Stepping into the Park Manager role when required.

This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.

Your Skills and Experience

You'll be a hands-on leader who enjoys working with people and creating memorable guest experiences.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience in hospitality, accommodation, tourism management or similar
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and development
  • Financial and commercial awareness
  • Tech savviness with RMS experience or similar reservations systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-centric approach
  • Flexibility and availability for weekend and after hours shifts
