The Role
Set along Western Australia’s iconic Coral Coast, Discovery Parks Carnarvon is a relaxed regional park located in the state’s vibrant agricultural hub, known as the “food bowl” of WA. The park supports a steady stream of travellers exploring the coastline, combined with a friendly local community feel.
As Assistant Manager, you will play a key hands-on role in the daily operations of a small, community focused park where versatility is essential. With major development planned over the coming years, this is a great opportunity to step into a role that will evolve and expand as the park grows.
You will be supporting reception, administration, guest services, housekeeping and occasionally grounds, pitching in wherever needed to help the park run smoothly and ensure every guest has a great experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Support daily operations across reception, admin, guest services, housekeeping and light grounds work
- Assist with check-ins, bookings, payments, reporting and general enquiries
- Help maintain high presentation standards across cabins and park grounds
- Contribute to guest satisfaction by providing friendly, reliable customer service
- Assist the Park Manager with operational tasks, problem-solving and day-to-day coordination
- Maintain compliance, safety awareness and smooth park operations
- Adapt to changing operational needs in a small, hands‑on team
What You’ll Need
- A true all‑rounder mindset, comfortable assisting across reception, admin, housekeeping and grounds
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good computer literacy and willingness to learn park systems
- A practical, hands‑on attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
- Flexibility and reliability in a role where duties may vary day to day
- Valid driver’s licence
Before receiving a job offer, candidates must consent to a Federal Police Clearance. Additionally, a valid Working with Children's Check specific to the state is required.
This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
