The Role
As a Systems Analyst within the Corporate Systems team, you will be responsible for configuring, testing, and maintaining a range of business systems including property management systems (PMS), revenue management, channel management; payment & point-of-sale (POS) systems, and finance & business reporting systems.
You will join our growing and fast-moving IT team as we build our next generation platform utilising “best in class” applications and IT infrastructure, whilst managing the changes in existing and emerging applications.
Reporting to the Team Leader of Core Systems this role will support the Operations, Commercial and Finance teams. You will be required to analyse business requirements responsibility for ensuring system change requests are implemented methodically.
In this role you will be required to develop and maintain IT processes, knowledge, policies, procedures and business standards to ensure that the G’day Group complies with legislative and best practice requirements.
Your Experience
This position does not assume prior knowledge of hospitality systems (although this would be an advantage) but does require a person with an authentic can-do attitude and willingness to learn. You will work with a motivated team and be required to develop a deep understanding of our operational, commercial, and financial systems.
You will enjoy solving problems, working with data and new technology, and being that person who can figure-out how to configure systems so that they work properly. You will need to demonstrate flexibility to work concurrently in project teams implementing new technology, while providing support to internal customers to configure, maintain or support existing systems.
This role will be visible across the entire business and will be critical to the success of our Operations, Commercial and Finance teams. You will need to be resilient, patient and have an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
The role would suit a candidate who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and work within cross-functional teams to solve a variety of technology problems. There will be opportunity for on-the-job training, and you will be expected to progress quickly and become a subject-matter expert in our business systems. Advanced MS Office skills are essential and exposure to Agile methodologies would be an advantage.
To be successful in this role you will need comfortable solving problems and configuring complex technology systems. You will bring energy, self-motivation, decisiveness, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail to the G’day Group, along with a naturally upbeat communication style that fits our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset, with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders whilst working closely with our established IT Team.
