About Us

G’day Group comprises leading Australian tourism brands in Discovery Parks, Resorts and the loyalty program G'day Rewards. Employing more than 2000 people Australia-wide, G’day Group has the largest park network in the country, offering an amazing customer journey.

The Role

Lead one of our most operationally dynamic parks in the northern region. Port Augusta is where outback grit meets genuine hospitality. A place with real character, real challenges, and real opportunity for an exceptional leader to make an impact.

This isn’t a quiet holiday park. It’s a high-volume, fast-paced environment with a steady flow of guests, operational pressure points, and a passionate local team. The park is a mix of cabins and tourist sites, catering to road-trippers, workers, long-term stays and travellers heading north, south, east and west.

We’re looking for a strong leader with the resilience, commercial capability, and people leadership to elevate the park’s operations while navigating a community and environment that requires maturity, calmness, and confidence. With full support from our regional and national teams, you’ll lead the charge on culture, performance, and guest experience.

Why work for us

  • OTE 145K: Competitive base salary + Super + performance bonuses + housing in the managers residence + bills
  • Professional growth, training, and leadership development through our Adelaide HQ
  • Discounts across our national network of 300+ parks
  • Recognition programs and wellbeing initiatives

You’ll Thrive Here If:

You’re a steady, confident leader who performs at your best in demanding environments. You stay calm when others don’t, communicate clearly, and make decisions quickly and fairly.

You’re the type who takes action, not avoids it. You lift standards, steady teams, and create an environment where staff and guests feel supported and safe.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Taking full ownership of park operations – from housekeeping to guest check-ins
  • Leading, coaching and developing a passionate local team
  • Driving business performance with an eye on margins, revenue, and ROI
  • Hands on management of compliance, safety, maintenance and presentation
  • Working closely with regional operations on long-term strategy and improvements

What You’ll Need:

  • Leadership experience in hospitality, retail, accommodation, or tourism
  • Advanced computer skills with experience in RMS or similar reservations systems
  • Proven ability to manage and develop staff
  • Strong resilience and emotional maturity
  • Confidence dealing with conflict and difficult situations
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets
  • High operational standards and pride in presentation
  • A current driver’s licence
  • A willingness to embrace regional living and the unique environment of Port Augusta
