The Role
G’Day Parks is embracing the new normal and is undertaking an historic transformation to build the Park experience of the future. Accordingly, significant investment is being made into technology and business processes to provide market leading experiences to our customers in both the physical and digital realm. Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, the Senior Business Analyst will be highly visible across the business and critical to the success of the future projects roadmap. This is an exceptionally exciting role for someone that wants to be part of an innovative, industry-defining transformation.
The Senior Business Analyst will apply the latest techniques within the context of our customers and business, to improve customer experience and drive returns.
This role will require you to;
- Facilitate workshops, interviews and generally elicit requirements.
- Contribute to sprint planning, project planning and road-mapping sessions.
- Lead solution design and process design workshops.
- Collaborate with other BAs by sharing relevant information for other projects and providing support when needed.
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is created at all stages of the project.
- Write user stories, epics, business requirements and functional specifications.
- Work with vendors and consultants to ensure Discovery Parks is getting value from external relationships, whilst also acting as an SME for business requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases and project evaluation activities.
- Identify opportunities for processes improvements.
- Work closely with product owners to define requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to developers and testers regarding business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support the design, development, and delivery of the change management plan.
- Support the IT Management team in delivering a best-in-class ecosystem through providing the deliverables in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist in the development of a best practice IT Business Analysis capability.
- Support ad-hoc reporting efforts to surface data to different business units.
Your Experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications, combined with agile or traditional certifications, along with commercial working knowledge of business analysis principles, methodologies and tools is essential.
To be successful in this role you will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be flexible and adaptable. Your collaborative style is a natural strength, as is your business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at G’Day Parks. Your naturally upbeat and open style will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organised mindset with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders.
