About the role

Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) is seeking General Dentists to join our Primary Care department at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. We offer both part-time and full-time roles (minimum 2 days/week) and flexible rostering, ideal for dentists wanting to supplement private work or step into public healthcare full-time.

You'll provide emergency and general dental care to a diverse group of patients—including those with complex medical needs and disabilities—within the scope of publicly funded services.

You’ll also have access to:

  • Mentorship and supervision opportunities with dental students
  • $2,090 CPD allowance (pro-rata)

About Dental Health Services Victoria 

Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) was established in 1996 and is the leading public oral health agency in Victoria. We aim to improve the oral health of all Victorians, particularly vulnerable groups and those most in need. DHSV is funded by the State Government to provide clinical dental services to eligible Victorians.

We help to provide Victorians with quality oral healthcare through The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM) and by purchasing dental services for public patients from more than 50 community health agencies throughout Victoria.


A bit about you

✔ Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a general dentist

✔ 1+ years’ experience preferred

✔ Passion for patient-centred care and public health

✔ Interest in mentoring, CPD, and contributing to a teaching environment
