Take Two is a state-wide service providing high quality therapeutic services to children and young people who have suffered significant abuse, neglect or disrupted attachment and are clients of Child Protection. Our Clinicians work with children, their caregivers, families and communities. We help them understand the child’s trauma, and how it’s impacting their development and behaviours.

This role is based in the Take Two fee-for-service program and provides tailored and targeted assessments and intervention to young people and their support networks; as well as professional services and training to the community services, education and broader sectors.

  • Located at our Mildura office on Latji Latji, Ngintait, Nyeri Nyeri and Wergaia Country.
  • Part time, fixed term 12 month role
  • Salary range $100K-$112K + superannuation + salary packaging (pro rata) depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to holding a caseload, a Clinician will:

  • Provide responsive clinical services to clients who are at various stages of the episode of care, such as assessment, treatment and closure. Therapeutic work can range from short to long term.
  • Conduct assessments and develop therapeutic treatment plans guided by the Neurosequential model and/or other clinical measures, with clear goals that are reviewed regularly.
  • Work in a systemic and collaborative manner with the client, family and the care team to achieve the goals within the specified time frame. 
  • Provide face-to-face clinical services across the Loddon-Malle region.
  • Provide nation-wide clinical services via telehealth.

A Senior Clinician will:

  • Provide leadership in the team and support the clinical team leader, including building and maintaining important partnerships and supporting the team to meet key performance indicators. 
  • Provide clinical supervision to clinicians and students as required. 
  • Facilitate referrals into the fee-for-service program by providing intake consultations and quoting for services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training requests from external agencies.
  • Conduct assessments and develop therapeutic treatment plans, with clear goals that are reviewed regularly.

About You

We are seeking a qualified Clinician or Senior Clinician who has relevant Bachelor level or higher qualification in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline. You will have a sound understanding of the complexities of the service system, a demonstrated ability to provide direct service in the clinical assessment and treatment of young people and families, and a sound understanding and demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and community.
