As a Dynamics Functional Consultant within our AI Transformation practice at Arinco you'll play a key role in the delivery of a large-scale Dynamics uplift as part of a wider program of work, with a focus on providing expertise in the F&O space.

Please note this role requires 1-2 days onsite with our customer who are based in the outer Western suburbs.

Responsibilities

  • Review and extract Finance-specific requirements and changes arising from the tenancy migration.
  • Translate Finance team business requirements and change impacts into system configuration and validations.
  • Guide UAT scenarios and smoke tests focused on end-to-end Finance team processes.
  • Capture all the security roles and data access requirements for Finance users in the current state.
  • Reconfigure all the security, users, machine identities and other data access requirements in the new tenant.
  • Work with the BA to capture all workflows and approval processes related to Finance by extracting them from the system.
  • Advise the stakeholders on suitable transitionary processes and workarounds for change impacts.
  • Reconfigure affected Finance workflows and other impacted processes in the target tenant to align with business requirements after migration.
  • Reconfigure the batch jobs and re-enable any other scheduled processes and integrations after migration.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Technical Consultant on technical changes, customisations and environment management aspects.
  • Produce design documentation, configuration documentation, cutover checklists, and acceptance criteria for finance processes.
  • Align finance cutover-sensitive activities (period closes, blackout windows, workflow freeze dates) with the migration timeline.
  • Validate master data chart of accounts, financial dimensions, cost centers, and master data post-database restore.
  • Setup new golden configuration environment for Finance in the target tenant.
  • Capture finance impacted business processes and transitionary processes and cutover-sensitive activities.
  • Work with the Change Team to provide change impacts and ensure accuracy of communication to impacted users.
  • Capture new processes and acceptance criteria for any change as a result of migration to finance process.
  • Develop UAT test cases and coordinate testing and validation activities for finance processes.
  • Work with the Finance team to produce and maintain the cutover runbook and post-go-live validation checklist for finance processes and ensure all parties are aware of their responsibilities.

Skills

  • Deep product knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • Strong finance domain knowledge.
  • Experience with data management processes data import/export (DMF), batch jobs, scheduled processes, and integration processes within Dynamics Finance.
  • Knowledge of security policies (RBAC, XDS, dimension-based security, field-level security) in Dynamics Finance context.
  • Clear business friendly technical writing for design docs, configuration guides, runbooks, and cutover checklists.
  • Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Expected to be able to pick up and understand application functionality and finance concepts to effectively liaise between Finance team and technical resources.
  • Experience capturing business processes and defining workflows.
  • Experience authoring UAT test cases and validation matrices.
  • Able to translate business rules into testable acceptance criteria.
